Woorde van Set of Wheels - Karen Zoid

I heard they built a road out in the desert
That goes on and on for miles and miles
It’s downhill all the way
So you never have to pump the gas
You just sit back and relax
Too hot for the cops
Just right for beginners
I heard they built a road out in the desert
And no matter how long you drive
You never leave square one
There’s only one station on the radio
And all they play old rock & roll
Allright, watch the weather, let’s just cruise
You can drive for days without seeing another face
And in no time
Won’t tell your home from any other place.
Driving down this road out in the desert
Saw a big black cloud full of lightning
Bad weather
No place to stop no place to go
Had to keep on moving
As the rain turned to snow
Down that road…forever
What’s behind that hill?
Looks like the sea
The only thing that kills
Is the sinner inside of me
I’m just a set of wheels
In this open space
Forgotten how it feels
To lie in bed for days
Driving down this road out in the desert
Saw a big black cloud full of lightning
Bad weather (x3)
